Valery Vladimirovich Chastnykh (born March 2, 1963) is Deputy Director of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Associate Professor and Candidate of Philological Sciences. He graduated from the Faculty of Philology at Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1985.
Throughout his career, he has taught Russian as a foreign language, as well as Russian literature and culture, at universities and schools in China, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Spain, Finland, and the United States.
He is the author of textbooks on Russian as a foreign language and of various projects related to Russian culture.
