War with Iran: Peace with the US is a Farce, a Mirage
Introduction
As a geopolitical observer in today’s world, one shouldn’t be surprised by anything anymore—yet one is nonetheless.
Just two days after President Trump announced, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again”, it is now reported that during a two-week ceasefire, several unresolved issues are to be discussed and agreed upon in negotiations with Iran, for which Iran’s 10-point plan provides a good working basis.
This whole thing reeks to high heaven. The chances are high that the whole affair will turn out to be a grand mirage and that the US will, predictably and once again, prove itself to be an untrustworthy party.
Analysis of What Was Said
Donald Trump's Truth Social Post from April 8

You don't have to look far to find inconsistencies:
This will be a mutual CEASEFIRE!
However, in addition to the US and Iran, Israel and Lebanon are also involved as the main belligerents. The reason for doing so is taht we have already met and exceeded all Military objectives, and are very far along with a definitive Agreement concerning Longerm PEACE with Iran in teh Middle East
No such direct talks have taken place, so how can they be “far along”?We have received a 10-point proposal from Iran and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate.
That is highly interesting, but there is no indication that these 10 points will be to the Americans’ liking in any way—see my comments on this below.
Iran's 10-Point Plan
There are many different plans circulating on the internet. For the exact wording of the Iranian National Security Council's plan, please refer to Alastair Crook.
Commitment to non-aggression
Continuation of Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz
Acceptance of uranium enrichment
Lifting of all primary sanctions
Lifting of all secondary sanctions
Termination of all UN Security Council resolutions
Termination of all Board of Governors resolutions
Payment of compensation to Iran
Withdrawal of U.S. combat forces from the region
Cessation of war on all fronts, including against Hezbollah in Lebanon
That is the basis, the preconditions for negotiations, that Iran is demanding. Under these terms, Iran gets everything it wants, and the US loses everything. These are ideal conditions for Iran. I can’t believe the Americans will agree to this. That, too, is a mirage.
“The Americans are shot out and need time”
This is also a clear indication of who holds the military upper hand: Iran can afford to make maximum demands and can live with the failure of a ceasefire. The Americans have exhausted their resources and need time to regroup. Video clips are circulating—the authenticity of which I have not been able to verify—that show the US moving troops to the Iranian border using numerous helicopters and Ospreys.
Trump's Untenable Situation Led to an Agreement
The fact that Trump even pretended to negotiate on this basis shows that the Americans find themselves in an untenable situation. It is quite possible that the threatened destruction of Iranian civilization was to be carried out with a nuclear strike, and that American officers simply refused, or that it dawned on the Americans that closing the Strait of Hormuz would plunge the entire world into disaster.
I would also like to draw attention to the heroic rescue of the weapons officer from the downed American F-18E fighter jet. The US would have the world believe that a total of 155 aircraft were deployed in a rescue operation for a single American soldier. At least that is what the Swiss Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) reported in its April 9 edition, whose journalists uncritically repeat US propaganda.
Rather, it appears that this was a covert operation by the Americans to secure uranium in Iran. It was a complete failure, resulting in the loss of a great deal of equipment and human lives. For details, I refer you to my friend Larry C. Johnson’s website Sonar21.com, which includes links to numerous interviews.

Trump thus appeared to have found himself in a situation beyond the White House’s control—a combination of turmoil within his own ranks and the disastrous events surrounding the aforementioned military operation in Iran, which could not possibly be spun as a success. This forced Donald Trump to release a peace dove—but it didn’t fly for long.
The White House is Backtracking
White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt made a spectacular about-face on Wednesday. Although—as noted above—President Trump had described the 10-point plan as a good basis for negotiations, that plan is now deemed unacceptable: It remains unclear which 10-point plan President Trump was referring to in his tweet. According to his spokesperson, it appears that no such plan exists.
Israel isn't Playing Along – It's All Already Failed
Point 10 of Iran’s 10-point plan explicitly calls for a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon. The Israelis, however, refuse to halt their attacks on Lebanon and are bombing the country more intensely than ever before.
More than 300 civilians are reported to have been killed in a single day during the Israeli carpet bombing of Beirut. These are some of the chaotic scenes ravaging the Lebanese capital.
The claims by the US and Israel that Lebanon is exempt from the ceasefire agreement are explicitly refuted by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who brokered the agreement. On April 8, he posted the following tweet:
United Arab Emirates – Baffling Behavior
On Wednesday, the United Arab Emirates emerged as a suspected offensive actor—that is, an aggressor—in the escalating Gulf conflict. Several Iranian sources and military analysts with access to open-source intelligence indicate that UAE Air Force Mirage 2000-9 fighter jets attacked the Iranian oil refinery on Lavan Island just hours after a ceasefire brokered by Pakistan and likely China was supposed to have halted hostilities.
Abu Dhabi has neither confirmed nor denied the claim, but the evidence circulating in intelligence circles is substantial enough to trigger an immediate Iranian retaliatory strike on Emirati territory.
Iran’s response will likely spell disaster for the Emirates, which, with this action, are clearly siding with Israel and the US. Certainly not a decision guided by Eastern wisdom.
Trump Back to His Old Self: War Cry

Note: this was published by the top diplomat of a country—the President of the US—in the run-up to ceasefire negotiations with a country that the US had attacked without any legal basis. In my view, this brings the “ceasefire” chapter to a close.
Consequences
Israel
Israel is “earning” the reputation it seems to be striving for as a state, using all its military and political might: a bunch of Zionist psychopaths who will kill anyone and anything to realize their religiously motivated “Greater Israel” project. Genocide, torture, murder, and war crimes are the tools of these people. The Zionist-controlled media in the US and Europe provide no insight into the actual view held by people in their sphere of influence regarding this state, which exists by the grace of Britain and the U.S. According to ZeroHedge, the goodwill toward Israel among the American public is out of proportion to the support Washington provides to Tel Aviv. AlJazeera reported one day before the war began that more Americans today support the Palestinians than the Israelis. In den westlichen Medien wird auch verschwiegen, dass die Israelis am 7. April eine Synagoge in Teheran bombardiert haben.

Zionists murder Jews. There is no explanation for this, and we do not intend to try to explain it here. It is glaring proof that Zionists will even murder Jews to achieve their criminal goals. In my last article, I accused the Swiss press—and Roger Köppel in particular—of simply smiling away genocide and war crimes. Will people still be smiling after this latest act of barbarism by Israel against Jews?
The situation of Israeli troops in Lebanon appears to be growing increasingly dire. Hezbollah is putting the IDF in such a tight spot that the Israelis see no solution other than resorting to ruthless terror against civilians: the bombing of residential buildings throughout Lebanon. When it comes to a ceasefire, one must be careful not to judge the Israelis rationally—they are complete psychopaths and will never honor a ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza.
If the Western media were to report the truth, Israel’s reputation would be on par with that of Nazi Germany—which is exactly where the country’s political leadership belongs—and that also determines where the Western media belong: Nuremberg 2.0.
Gulf States
Without jumping to conclusions, it is becoming increasingly clear with each passing day that the opportunistic Gulf states are choosing sides. It appears that Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain will likely be the first to swing over to the Iranian side. The UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait still seem to believe that the Americans will win the war. As soon as the outcome becomes clearer, these nations will choose a side: the side of the winners. As for Jordan, there is reason to fear that the country may sooner or later be torn apart by its internal tensions. Should the balance in Lebanon—and possibly also in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank—tip against Israel, the Jordanian royal family is likely to face great hardship—a theory that is not too far-fetched, given that Palestinians make up more than 50 percent of the Jordanian population.
It is astonishing that this has not yet happened, because the Americans’ security apparatus—purchased at great expense—is ineffective for two reasons: The missile defense shield is useless against Iranian missiles, and the Americans have abandoned their military bases, from which and with which they claimed to protect their Arab partners in exchange for exorbitant sums paid in advance. Technically and morally, the Americans have thus squandered a significant portion of their reputation.
US
The Americans have not only failed to initiate a peace process; in the Zionist wake of the Israeli leadership, they never intended to do so in the first place. Simply continuing to fight seems very reminiscent of Vietnam—of heavy casualties and unrest in the US. The last few weeks have shown what we were already discussing before the war: Iran cannot be brought to its knees; not with these means, and not given that the US’s Arab “allies” and the Strait of Hormuz are practically being handed to the Iranians on a silver platter. According to Scott Ritter, the Americans would have to deploy at least 1.5 million troops to have even the slightest chance of defeating the Iranians: 1.5 million highly trained combat troops; there is no point in discussing this, as the Americans simply do not have troops of that magnitude. The war is therefore not only unwinnable—it is already lost.
Iran
Despite the massive destruction of its own infrastructure and the loss of thousands of lives, Iran has already emerged victorious. In addition to the formidable military reputation the country has earned, its economic future looks brighter. With the Strait of Hormuz, the Iranians control one of the world’s major trade routes. Operating this tollgate is highly lucrative, and controlling who is allowed to pass is a non-kinetic military trump card that every country dreams of.
Conclusion
The hot desert sand has given rise to a mirage, yet another political illusion that will quickly crumble. Once again, Trump—and by extension the US political class—has proven itself to be completely dishonest, incompetent, and lacking in integrity. Opposition among allies, who seem weary of this circus, is likely to grow. This charade demonstrates that the Americans operate at a level—militarily, diplomatically, and in terms of character—that completely disqualifies them as serious partners—or even as interlocutors. Trump discredits not only enemies but also friends. Witkoff and Kushner, two Zionist wheeler-dealers of the worst sort, who have already pulled the Iranians over the table twice in the name of their master and the Zionist clients who commissioned them, are beyond debate—has Trump realized that yet?
Today’s supporters of Israel must face the accusation that they would have sided with Hitler as well. If one compares Israel’s actions—its atrocities, which are almost beyond description, the genocide of the Palestinians, and the war crimes committed in every country Israel has invaded—with the actions of the Nazis, the picture that emerges could not be more strikingly similar.
So this senseless death, orchestrated by the West, will continue. I feel sorry for all the people who are losing their lives because of these inhumane policies and their consequences. But, as I said at the beginning—maybe I’m wrong, and peace will come.
