Maria Avilova studied linguistics and intercultural communication at the Moscow State Linguistic University, graduating in 2001 with a degree in German and English language teaching.

From 2002 to 2013, she worked at PHI Group, a real estate management company in Russia, first as an assistant to its Chairman, Peter Hanseler, then as a marketing specialist.

In 2006, she graduated from the Russian Institute of Finance and Economics with a degree in marketing.

From 2016 to 2021 Maria worked at Russian companies Blackstone Keeping Company and Azbuka Fermy LLC as a marketing specialist.

Since 2022, Maria has been involved with Voice from Russia, translating articles and responsible for administration.

Maria has a teenage son, she loves traveling, sports and reading.

She speaks Russian, German and English.
