Auguste Maxime – author

Born in 1992, Auguste Maxime holds a degree in economic history from the University of Geneva. He began his career as a financial journalist before joining an investment fund specializing in Russian and Eastern European equity markets. In 2021, driven by a growing interest in the region’s economic and geopolitical dynamics, he relocated to Moscow.

Since 2025, he has been a regular contributor to Voice from Russia, where he analyzes the unraveling of the Western-led world order and its consequences for international trade and the monetary system — through the unique lens of a European observer immersed in contemporary Russia.

Fluent in French and English, he is currently learning Russian. He frequently travels across the country — from the Caucasus to Siberia, and as far as the remote Yamal Peninsula — both for professional research and to satisfy an insatiable personal curiosity. In his free time, he enjoys running, playing football, and reading.
